Sawgrass Technologies to Preview VersiFlex Expansion at PRINTING United Expo 2026
Sawgrass Technologies will exhibit at PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas, Sept. 23-25, at booth C2591. During the show, Sawgrass will showcase its VersiFlex decorating system and preview VersiFlex MAX, a new expansion of the line, as well as VersiFlex Tagless Label.
VersiFlex is a patented decorating system that allows a single Sawgrass printer to produce full-color designs for cotton, blends, and hard surfaces without pretreatment or multiple production steps VersiFlex systems start at less than $1,000.
The system works through a change of transfer paper rather than a change of equipment. VersiFlex Light Transfer Paper handles cotton lights and brights. TrueSub sublimation paper handles polyester and hard goods such as drinkware, signage, and home decor. Both run on the same printer with the same ink set, which means a decorator can move between cotton apparel and hard goods in about 30 seconds without adding a second machine to the bench.

That distinction addresses a constraint that shapes what many small decorating businesses are able to sell. Most decorating methods are category-specific. A shop set up for garments prints garments. Tumblers for the coaches or a sign for the field either go unfilled or cost a second machine, which is usually why a small shop turns the work down. The VersiFlex System, now including VersiFlex MAX and VersiFlex Tagless Label, removes this constraint.
VersiFlex MAX
VersiFlex MAX allows The VersiFlex System to cover the full spectrum of color, including dark garments. It produces full-color output on any colored garment without white ink, powder, or weeding, three requirements that have historically defined what full-color garment decoration costs to produce and how many steps it takes.
The practical effect is that dark garments stop being a separate production category. Team apparel, event merchandise, and retail-weight blanks in black and other dark colors can be produced through the same workflow a shop already uses for lights and brights.
VersiFlex Tagless Label
VersiFlex Tagless Label allows care instructions and brand labels to be pressed directly onto garments in black, white, or color. Tagless labeling has typically required outsourcing or dedicated equipment, placing it out of reach for shops producing at low volume. Bringing this labeling solution into The VersiFlex System gives every decorator access to a finishing detail that has generally required a larger operation.
"Most decorators do not lose business because they lack skill. They lose it because a customer asks for something their equipment cannot make," said Dimple Patel, chief product officer and head of global marketing at Sawgrass. "Printing full color on all garments and adding tagless labels have each meant a separate system and a separate investment. Bringing them into The VersiFlex System means a shop can say yes to more of what walks through the door."
At the show
Sawgrass will host live demonstrations at booth C2591 throughout the three days of the show, covering the paper swap between apparel and hard goods, dark-garment output with VersiFlex MAX, and tagless label application.
