AutoTran Inc.'s Eclipse CB600 UV-LED industrial inkjet printer is designed for promotional products decoration across hard goods, packaging, and custom substrates.
The printer features a built-in Linear CIS scanning system that automatically detects product orientation and positioning — eliminating the need for jigs or fixtures and streamlining production.
Promo Impressions spoke with Jason Parker, vice president at AutoTran, about the new system, its capabilities, and how the company collaborates with Counselor Top 40 suppliers to develop real-world solutions.
Key features of the Eclipse CB600 include:
- 23.6-inch precision conveyor with Linear CIS scanning camera
- Automatic product detection and graphic placement
- Ricoh GEN6 printheads
- Print speeds of 90–100 linear ft./hr.
- Single and bi-directional printing
- Jettable primer system
- Compatibility with JETbright HV and HX digital inks
- Auto capping and cleaning system
- RIP software with custom ICC profiles
AutoTran has also focused heavily on ink and adhesion performance, developing primer systems that can reduce or eliminate the need for additional surface treatments in certain applications.
While broader market conditions have slowed purchasing decisions, Parker notes strong early interest, with multiple sample runs already completed for Top 40 suppliers.
