Roland DG announces the launch of the VersaStudio BY2-20, a compact desktop direct-to-film (DTF) printer designed for producing high-quality decorated apparel.

The BY2-20 introduces a DTF-specific architecture featuring dual white ink channels, enhanced ink delivery, improved head pressure, advanced temperature management, and improved filtration. According to the company, these features are engineered to deliver the consistent output and production stability required for professional apparel decoration businesses. The printer is positioned as a professional alternative to entry-level DTF systems that may prioritize low upfront cost over long-term reliability.

The BY2-20 is a CMYK + White DTF printer that supports a wide range of applications, from T-shirts and sportswear to workwear and accessories. It is part of an integrated solution that brings together hardware, inks, and software, including Roland DG’s Connect Designer, VersaWorks 7 RIP, and DG Connect software for a seamless workflow from design to production and maintenance.

The BY2-20 uses OEKO-TEX Eco Passport certified S-PG2 inks and S-Powder. The printer is available now through authorized Roland DGA dealers in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America.
